The project
Haiti faces an acute food crisis: almost half of the population is food insecure. Gang violence disrupts farming and trade and has driven mass displacement towards Jérémie and Camp-Perrin, where irregular rainfall, floods and inflation make things worse. Needs for food and drinking water are urgent, for displaced people and host families alike.
This emergency project met the immediate needs of 700 households through food vouchers, training and access to drinking water. It is implemented directly by ASB. It was followed by a second phase: project HTI2502.
